About Me
I grew up in North Carolina and went to Duke University for medical school and residency training. I came to Colorado to complete my fellowship in endocrinology at the University of Colorado and didn't want to leave. I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2012.
About my practice
I listen to understand my patient’s questions and concerns so we can work together to make a treatment plan that meets your needs. I work as a team with our providers, pharmacists and others to coordinate your care. I enjoy treating all types of endocrine problems such as thyroid, adrenal, pituitary, calcium abnormalities, osteoporosis, and type 1 and type 2 diabetes. In addition to working in the Endocrinology department, I am a researcher in Kaiser Permanente's Institute for Health Research. My research focuses on the epidemiology of diabetes and its complications, and ways to improve the care we provide to our members with diabetes and other chronic diseases.
How I thrive
I enjoy spending time with my husband and two children, growing food in our garden, and spending time outdoors.
