About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I want you to be the healthiest you can be, and I work hard so you receive high-quality preventive care. It's a pleasure to work at Kaiser Permanente because I see daily how resources are put back in to improve care and build new facilities for our members.

Biography

I've spent almost 30 years in the Family Medicine Department, almost all of that time at the Colton Medical Offices. In 2007, I moved to the main campus at Fontana Medical Center to work on some new initiatives designed to improve care and service. I have been married longer than I've been a physician (yes, to the same person) and have two children who are both out of college. I enjoy my members and my administrative duties (although I enjoy my members more).

About my practice

My practice has aged with me. I have some members I've seen since my first day here. I think the best medicine can often be no medicine at all and that laughter is good for everyone. I really enjoy the electronic record management and all the features on KP.org, like the option for my members to email my office with routine questions. I am still trying to find that one member who can teach me an easy way to lose 25 pounds forever. Most of all, I became a physician to make lives better, and I am inspired by my members and their families regularly.

How I thrive

Every day at the office there is a moment, sometimes many, that remind me why I enjoy what I do. I also enjoy hiking and the mountains, particularly in Colorado, where I often go while on vacation. During my early years at UC San Diego, I learned to surf and can still (although rarely) be seen surfing in the San Diego area. One needs to set goals in order to stay healthy!
