About Me

I grew up in Nashville, Tennessee, and lived there until I attended college and completed medical school and my internal medicine residency at Duke University. I decided to pursue a second residency in emergency medicine at Boston Medical Center. I am board certified in internal medicine and emergency medicine.

About my practice

I have had the opportunity at different points in my career to work in a variety of settings, including outpatient clinics, inpatient wards, urgent care and emergency departments. I also had the privilege of teaching residents and medical students for several years, which I thoroughly enjoyed. My favorite place to work, though, is in the clinic. I enjoy getting to know patients over time and working with them to prevent future diseases and solve acute problems if they arise.

How I thrive

My time outside of work is happily spent with my family, which is made up of my husband, children, mother, and three rambunctious dogs. We love the outdoors and spend all the time we can in it, which is easy to do in this beautiful state. I particularly enjoy hiking, biking, cross-country skiing and gardening.
