About Me

I am pleased to offer this Web page for members. I am proud to be a member of this department and medical group here at Kaiser Permanente.

I was born in Bombay, India. I went to the same medical college as my father. It is the Sir Robert Grant Medical College and was built by the British in the old colonial days. I pursued my psychiatric training in London initially. After that, I did my residency in psychiatry at New Jersey Medical College and at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. I did a child psychiatry fellowship at University of Colorado Medical School.

About my practice

I see children, adolescents, and adults. I am board-certified psychiatrist. I am also the chief of service of this department. I serve on various committees here at Kaiser Permanente in the South Bay. I am a member of the board of a charity organization that serves women who have been subjected to domestic violence. My being a physician allows people to share with me their concerns and hopes. This helps me guide them with appropriate treatments.

How I thrive

I enjoy kayaking, jogging, listening to a wide variety of music, and cooking good foods.
