About Me

Welcome to my Web page!

Biography

I grew up in LA, not far from the Los Angeles Medical Center. I did my undergraduate studies in nuclear engineering at UCLA. But medicine tugged at my soul. I went to Cornell University in upstate New York for medical school and to St. Louis for training in internal medicine. Directing the Emergency Department at Washington University whet my appetite for this new field, and I became certified in emergency medicine as well.

About my practice

I enjoy practicing emergency medicine because it allows me to make dramatic differences in peoples lives. I love the variety of patients and problems that I get to deal with on a daily basis. My best days are those that are quiet enough for me to sit down and really get to know what special people my patients are and what interesting lives they lead.

How I thrive

I enjoy the outdoors and, depending on the season, hike either in the San Gabriel or Santa Monica mountains.
