About Me

I earned my medical degree from the University of Arkansas. I completed my internship and residency at NYU School of Medicine. After finishing residency, I spent another 10 years on faculty at NYU. While there my focus was in adult neurosurgery with a subspecialty in brain tumors. I was also involved with the training of neurosurgery residents. I am honored to be recognized as a 5280 Magazine Top Doctor in 2022 and was also honored there in 2020.

About my practice

I subspecialize in the treatment of tumors affecting the central nervous system, as well as in minimally invasive spine surgery. I listen and seek to understand my patients’ questions and concerns, so that we can work together to make treatment plans that meet their needs. My goal is to provide the most appropriate care for my patients. I encourage my patients to gain a better understanding of their health by accessing their medical record, prescription information and lab results at kp.org.

How I thrive

I love enjoying the outdoors with my family. I am also a runner, skier and cyclist.
