About Me
Welcome and thank you for taking the time to look at my Web page. I joined the department of ophthalmology in 1991and have thoroughly enjoyed working with such a talented and devoted group of eye care professionals. Our busy practice and skilled partner physicians have allowed us to remain on the cutting edge of cataract and glaucoma surgery.
Biography
I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and fell in love with San Diego while attending medical school here at UC San Diego. My triplet daughters were born here at Kaiser Permanente in 1991 and my wife is a nurse and a more than full time mother. We all love the outdoors and spend a lot of time skiing, surfing, sailing, camping and cycling.
About my practice
The thing I have enjoyed most about my career at Kaiser Permanente is the opportunity to purely practice medicine rather than run a business. I love taking care of people and really enjoy and appreciate our members. The trust they place in us truly is a gift and it has given me a very rich life.
How I thrive
Like many of you I thrive on friendships, challenges, humor, sunshine and frequent doses of exercise and adrenaline. I really look forward to meeting many of you during the next 10 to 15 years here at Kaiser Permanente.
