About Me

Originally from North Dakota, I attended college in Arizona before moving to the Bay Area, where I received my graduate degree from the University of San Francisco. My husband and I moved to the Pacific Northwest in 2008, as we were looking for a more serene environment to start a family and enjoy the outdoors. We wanted a place that was less busy and less crowded than San Francisco. We enjoy traveling and spending time with our families and friends, who live all over the United States. We have been spending more time closer to home raising our own family.

About my practice

I have been trained in a number of therapies, including cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral, behavioral, and Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). I have worked with many different populations in both the private and public sectors. Since 2008, I have worked primarily in crisis management as an intensive outpatient therapist at Cascade Park Medical Office. I appreciate the opportunity to work intensively with patients to assist them in stabilizing their mental health so they can resume more normal functioning.

How I thrive

I believe in balance - having enough time for work, family, friends, as well my own interests. Exercise and meditation help keep my life in balance. I also enjoy wonderful food, travel, gardening, playing music, and spending time with husband.
