About Me

I grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, close to the shores of Lake Michigan, but our family has lived in the Pacific Northwest for more than 15 years, and I feel we are now Oregonians — though I have kept my "midwestern accent." I chose to become a physician hoping to be able to make a difference in people's lives. I believe that though we live in a large world, our meaning is in how we help each other on an individual level.

About my practice

As an internal medicine physician, I care for people ages 18 and over who often have a variety of chronic health challenges such as diabetes, mental health conditions, heart disease, chronic respiratory illness, and arthritis. Improving our health can happen through improving the quality of our nutrition, staying active, managing stress levels, and more. Building relationships over time with my patients is one of the very happiest parts of my work. I work closely with my subspecialty care colleagues in KP to make sure your care is safe and coordinated well.

How I thrive

I enjoy reading, whether related to medicine, history, or issues facing our society and world at large. I enjoy hiking, trying new recipes, knitting, and biking.
