About Me

I am a couple and family therapist with a master’s degree from Northern Illinois University in child & family development and couple & family therapy. I have worked in community mental health clinics, intensive non-residential programs, and school settings. I have experience working with people of all ages and particularly enjoy working with adults with relationship concerns, couples, developmental and attachment issues, families – especially adoptive families and blended families, and parents with younger children.

About my practice

Populations: Adults, Children, Couples, Families, Groups. Specialties: ADD/ADHD, Anxiety, Couple Conflict, Depression, Grief/Loss, Mood Disorders, OCD, Parenting, PTSD, Relationship Dynamics, Trauma. Interventions: Attachment-based, DBT, Family Systems, Mindfulness. As a therapist I employ a variety of approaches including attachment focused therapy, family systems, experiential and pragmatic therapies, mindfulness-based approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and brief psychodynamic therapy. A common theme throughout my orientation is recognizing and building on strengths, identifying unmet needs, and building capacities through learning and practicing skills.
