About Me
Hi! Welcome to my Web page! I'm so glad to share this information with you, and I hope it helps you start to get to know me.
Biography
While working as a pediatrician and neonatologist in my home country of El Salvador, my husband received an invitation that required our family to move to the United States. During the preparations for our move I told my husband that when we reached California I would dedicate myself to something different—perhaps study a little music or maybe study to be a chef. But my husband knew me too well—he assured me that within six months I’d be back to studying medicine. Although it wasn't six months like my husband had predicted, within a year I realized that medicine is what makes my heart beat. I still have the same passion from medicine that I had as a little girl, and that nothing fulfills me more than practicing my profession. I decided to make every effort to incorporate myself into the field of medicine in this country, and take advantage of the opportunity to serve my community
About my practice
I'm a pediatric hospitalist. That means I spend 90 percent of my time in the hospital, working with sick kids—from premature babies to teenagers. I really love to be there to help them through their health problems, also to be available for their families while they’re going through a difficult time. I also enjoy working with healthy kids at the clinic and walk along side them as they develop healthy lifestyles.
How I thrive
I love to spend time with my husband and three kids. I love to read, go for walks on the beach, and enjoy the majestic colors of sunset.
