About Me
Welcome to my Web page. I’m pleased to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice in spinal surgery. I work with wonderful colleagues and members at Kaiser Permanente, and look forward to working with you also.
Biography
I’m a native Southern Californian who grew up as a Kaiser Permanente member. Even when I was a youngster, I knew I wanted to be an orthopedic surgeon because of my interest in sports and sports injuries—I’ve certainly had my share! During my training in orthopedic surgery at UC San Francisco, I became fascinated with spinal surgery because of its complexity, the exciting new technologies, and the dramatic improvements I saw in some patients' lives.
About my practice
The practice of spinal surgery at our medical center is challenging in many ways. We see members who are referred to us from all over Southern California, who have complex spinal disorders of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine. We have a large support staff that includes nurses, physician assistants, and spinal surgeons—all working together to provide the diagnosis and the most appropriate treatment.
How I thrive
I’ve always tried to live my life in a balanced and healthy way. In addition to eating right and getting regular exercise, my lovely wife and three young children keep me active as I try to keep up with them!
