About Me
I had the pleasure of growing up in Bend, Oregon, using the surrounding lakes, rivers, and mountains as my playground. I have always been interested in medicine and chose a health care profession because I want to help people live the healthiest life possible.
About my practice
During my training I quickly gravitated toward cardiac and thoracic surgery. I was drawn to this surgical subspecialty because it is an area of medicine where I can be involved in profoundly improving a person's quality of life.
How I thrive
For me, exercise is essential, providing both mental and physical benefits. I swam competitively most of my life, culminating with four years in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Now I find various ways to get cardiovascular exercise including running, swimming, or using the elliptical. I also enjoy snow skiing, wakeboarding, and golf.
