About Me
I am a board-certified hematologist and medical oncologist at Kaiser Permanente’s Riverside Medical Center. I feel very fortunate to work here because of my wonderful colleagues and members, and I look forward to partnering with you to care for your health.
Biography
I moved from Reno, Nevada, to Los Angeles to pursue advanced medical training, but I quickly fell in love with the sunny weather and made Southern California my permanent home.
About my practice
Our team in Riverside includes physicians, nurses, and other professionals who provide compassionate care in a welcoming environment. We work closely with you to address your specific health needs and concerns.
Cancer Subspecialty Focus
My clinical expertise includes the treatment of skin cancers such as genitourinary cancers including bladder, kidney, prostate, and testicular cancers; gastrointestinal cancers; breast cancer; lung cancer; thyroid and endocrine tumors; head and neck cancers; thymoma; and both complex malignant and benign hematologic disorders.
Collaboration on Multidisciplinary Teams
I actively participate in regional multidisciplinary tumor boards that bring together experts in medical oncology, radiation oncology, surgery, pathology, and related specialties. This collaborative approach ensures that members receive current treatments that are based on evidence and current research, for all cancer types.
Research and Clinical Trials
I am involved in several National Cancer Institute–supported research networks, including SWOG, the National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Project (NSABP), the Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology, and NRG Oncology. As a sub-investigator on multiple clinical trials, I help bring emerging therapies to our community. I am especially passionate about advancing access to innovative treatments for members.
How I thrive
Maintaining balance in my life is very important to me. My family is my top priority, and I enjoy family outings and trips. I also play tennis with my family, referee for my son’s soccer games, and stay active in my local chess club.
