About Me

Welcome! I'm a physician specializing in obstetrics and gynecology and urogynecology at Kaiser Permanente's Discovery Plaza Medical Offices. I realize that choosing your Ob/Gyn physician is a very personal process, and I hope that the information I provide here will help you make the best choice for you.

Biography

I was born and raised in Hyderabad, India, where I attended Osmania Medical College. I came to the United States to join my husband and his family. My mother is my inspiration for life. She is a brilliant, practical and compassionate woman who believes in education and service. I've been married for more than 26 years to a wonderful husband. We have three great kids, a cute little dog Louie, and a family of fish to complete our family. I personally enjoy everything that is in balance and in harmony with nature. It is humbling to understand that we all are a small part of this infinite creation, which changes constantly.

About my practice

I love the practice of obstetrics and gynecology and urogynecology. I like the diversity of my practice; being able to do different things every day is exciting to me. My patients seem to appreciate that my priority and purpose for me to work is their well-being and providing the best-possible care to them. I'm happy to help educate and guide my patients to reach their health goals. And I invite active participation from my patients. I believe in mutual respect, trust, and a common purpose in any relationship, but even more in a patient-physician relationship. I like to use technology to make my practice efficient, but not to replace the human touch in practice of medicine. I seem to perform better in face-to-face interactions.

How I thrive

I live life to its full extent and feel the gratitude for what I have and who I am today. I feel obligated to give back to the world in different aspects of my life, so I am constantly trying to give back, even if it’s in very small ways. My husband and I have a very busy life outside of our work. We enjoy socializing with friends and family, traveling, reading, and being involved in community events. I strongly believe in staying well in mind, body, and spirit. Nothing in this life is more valuable than one’s own good health. Our body is a gift from nature as an intricate piece of art.
