About Me

Born and raised in Baltimore, I did my undergraduate studies at Haverford College in Pennsylvania and then went to Emory University in Atlanta for medical school and dermatology residency. I’m board-certified in dermatology and a member of the American Medical Association and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology.

After 26 years in Atlanta, we moved to Maui to be closer to our family. My career goal was to be part of an ‘ohana that strives every day to improve the health of my community and I’ve happily found that at Kaiser Permanente.

About my practice

My father, a psychiatrist, inspired me to become a doctor. Not a day went by that he didn't tell me how grateful he was to be of service to those he cared for. My mother, a school teacher, was equally inspiring in her love for people and dedication to her students.

Dermatology offers the opportunity to develop meaningful, long-term relationships with patients and use all the tools of modern medicine, including surgery and lifestyle changes, to enhance their overall well-being.

I'm especially interested in transgender and LGBTQ+ advocacy, inclusion, and equity, and I've volunteered with an organization that supports, educates, and provides advocacy for this population.

How I thrive

My mother was one of 10 siblings. I always wanted a big family like hers and was blessed with five children. I play pickleball, swim, and go for daily walks, enjoying the pretty flowers and ocean. I seek out companionship in my activities and connect regularly with family and friends.
