About Me

I am originally from a small town in rural Iowa but spent 11 years in Northern California to attend medical school, residency, and fellowship at Stanford University Medical Center. I started my career as a pediatric anesthesiologist at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital at Stanford. After the birth of our daughter, we relocated to Oregon to be closer to family.

About my practice

While my subspecialty is pediatric anesthesia with a focus on pediatric regional anesthesia, I also take care of adults who are undergoing procedures requiring anesthesia. My primary academic interests are global health service, education, and training. Additionally, I have been very involved in efforts that focus on physician wellness and resiliency.

How I thrive

I am excited to explore Portland and the state of Oregon with my family. Outside of work I enjoy travel, yoga, hiking, road and mountain biking, surfing, and spending time in the great outdoors.
