About Me
I feel very privileged to have grown up in the Vail Valley. I currently live here with my husband and daughter, and have other family members close by. I majored in biology at University of California San Diego. I graduated from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1999 and spent quality time with my grandparents and extended family. After graduating medical school, I trained in family medicine at the University of California Davis. I chose to practice family medicine because I enjoy working with patients of all ages and stages of life. I returned to the Vail Valley in 2002 and worked in an urgent care and family practice setting. I now serve patients in virtual care.
About my practice
I am very interested in giving my patients a better understanding of their bodies, and helping them to feel and be the healthiest they can be. I am excited by the uniqueness of each patient interaction. I like to foster trust and collaborate with each patient to help them understand their symptoms and medical conditions. I also focus on preventive medicine, complementary medicine, alternative medicine, and traditional western medicine. Electronic medical records help me to see the big picture of a patient's health, so I can make good use of our time together and answer my patient's questions.
How I thrive
Being a longtime local in the Vail Valley, I love to ski, golf, boat and camp. When I am at home, I love to read and cook. Staying active and exercising are important to me. Spending time with my husband, daughter and family revitalizes me. When I go on vacation, I often choose to go to a tropical destination where I can scuba dive or sail.
