About Me

Welcome to my Web page. Let me introduce myself and tell you about my practice. The wonderful colleagues and patients at Baldwin Park make me feel fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente.

Biography

I emigrated from South Korea in 1971 and grew up in Los Angeles. I chose medicine as my career so I could be useful to others in a very substantial way. I could see no better way to help others than to help when they were ill or in pain. So, every day that I can help patients improve their health is a great day for me.

About my practice

I am privileged to work with a great, energetic group of physicians and nurses in the Emergency Medicine Department. Even after 18 years, every year seems to bring more improvements. I feel very honored that patients have entrusted me with their care and strive to treat them as I would my own family.

How I thrive

To keep myself healthy, I run, cycle, surf, and maintain a balanced, plant-based diet (most of the time). Yet I believe, physical health is only the beginning of a life well lived. In order to truly thrive, I am committed to my family and our local church.
