About Me

I am originally from the Boston area. From a very young age I had a deep interest in caring for people. My first degree was in psychology. I loved working with people but felt I could provide more comprehensive care to my patients. I graduated with my bachelors in nursing from Salem State University in 2002. After practicing in several settings, gaining extensive experience caring for transplant patients, trauma, and surgical patients, I became a travel nurse. I moved out west 13 years ago. After 11 years working as an RN and volunteering on several medical missions, I went back to school. I obtained my master’s degree as a family nurse practitioner and became board certified in 2016. I have been with Kaiser Permanente since then. I absolutely love the work I do. I am married to my best friend whom I met rock climbing just a few years ago.

About my practice

I strive to tailor my practice to meet the unique needs of every individual I see. I work as a team with our specialists, pharmacists and others to coordinate my patients' care. My goal is to provide the most appropriate care for my patients, so they aren't spending extra time or money to get the care they deserve.

As a family nurse practitioner, I care for patients of all ages and all backgrounds. I practice in the orthopedic department at Rock Creek with a group of highly skilled surgeons, physicians, PA’s, and NP's. I provide care for a variety of general orthopedic conditions including: conditions involving the hand and wrist, total joint replacements, fracture care and management as well as managing patients in the hospital both surgical and non-surgical. Whether a patient needs non-operative or surgical intervention, my goal is to empower them and tailor their care to fit their specific needs to allow them to have the highest quality of life possible.

How I thrive

I love spending time outdoors with my husband. We enjoy hiking, climbing, skiing, and all the amazing amenities the mountains offer. Traveling to new locations and exploring is always fun and of course, spending time with the fur babies helps me thrive and stay connected.
