About Me

Thank you for visiting my Web page. It is truly a privilege to care for you and support you through your medical journey. I practice full-time hematology and oncology at Kaiser Permanente’s Alton/Sand Canyon Medical Offices and am proud to be part of the Kaiser Permanente family. My commitment is to provide compassionate care that is based on evidence and current research and is tailored to each member’s unique needs.

Biography

I was born in Cairo, Egypt, where I achieved a superior national ranking in high school before entering one of the country’s oldest and most prestigious medical schools. After relocating to the United States, I began my residency training in New York City. Training in one of the nation’s strongest academic environments provided me with extensive clinical experience and sharpened my diagnostic reasoning and clinical judgment.

I completed my hematology and oncology fellowship at Stony Brook University Hospital in Long Island, New York. Following fellowship, I served for 2 years as a faculty supervisor and attending physician at Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, where I was actively involved in teaching and mentoring physicians in training.

After 12 years in New York, I moved to California to join my family and began practicing with Kaiser Permanente in 2002.

About my practice

I am triple board certified in internal medicine, hematology, and medical oncology. My practice is grounded in rigorous scientific evidence and current national guidelines. I value the complexity and evolving nature of oncology care.

My goal is to ensure that each member fully understands their diagnosis and treatment options. I believe informed members are empowered members, and I encourage the use of trusted educational resources to support shared decision-making.

How I thrive

Outside of medicine, I thrive by spending quality time with my family. I enjoy travel, sports, reading, and photography. These experiences help me maintain balance and perspective, which I bring into my work caring for members.
