About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I am happy to have this chance to introduce myself and tell you about my practice. I look forward to working with you to take care of your orthopedic-related health problems.

Biography

I am a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and have been in practice at Kaiser Permanente since finishing my training. I completed my orthopedic residency in Ohio and moved to California for the warmer climate. I was fortunate to subspecialize in foot & ankle and pediatric orthopedics by completing two consecutive fellowships at the world-renowned Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center in Downey. Currently, I am the director of the Foot & Ankle Fellowship Program, which is accredited by the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society. This program is designed to provide advanced training to orthopedic surgeons who want to specialize in complex foot and ankle disorders.

About my practice

The artist Leonardo da Vinci said that the human foot is a masterpiece of engineering and a work of art. Although I do treat general orthopedic conditions, a large part of my practice is devoted to specialized care of foot and ankle conditions, including rheumatoid and post-traumatic arthritis; Achilles and other tendon problems; sports injuries; developmental deformities, such as bunion and hammertoes; and ankle and foot complications due to diabetes.

How I thrive

I try my best to keep a balance in my life between work and relaxation. I have been a pioneer in developing minimally invasive surgeries, including arthroscopic fusion of the ankle and other joints. I am proud that our medical center is one of the very few approved to perform total ankle joint replacements. I also enjoy participating in medical missions around the world and donate my time and surgical skills to help fellow human beings the best way I know. However, I still manage to find some time to experience different cultures by traveling and watching select movies. I multitask by watching news while I am on my exercise bike. After all, I only have 24 hours in a day, just like you!
