About Me

I am a native of Maine, and practiced in several states before settling down in Georgia with my husband, daughter and son. Midwifery has been my passion since beginning my nursing career. When I am not taking care of our members and their families, you can find me watching my daughter play tennis or my son play football, or doing another one of those do-it-yourself home projects with my husband.

About my practice

Midwifery is not only caring for women throughout their lifespan, but also focusing on the impact that their families have on their health and well-being. Taking care of one member at a time, and getting to know them through their pregnancy, is critical to a healthy outcome. I enjoy working in an organization that is constantly striving to improve the health of its members. Quality, safe care is one of the most important aspects of my role. The expert midwives within our group are an exceptional team that communicates openly with one another and our physicians to provide high-quality care to the developing family.

How I thrive

Remembering that each person is unique and each birth has its own energy keeps my battery charged. No matter how many babies I deliver, they are all special and have their own place in my memory. I refresh myself through team meetings where ideas are shared and dreams come to be. When not at work, you can find me scrapbooking, completing another do-it-yourself home project, or walking our dog.
