About Me

Originally from the Midwest, Kansas City, Missouri, I attended graduate school in Los Angeles, California before moving to the Pacific Northwest in 2008. I have come to love the beauty of the Pacific Northwest and the multitude of outdoor activities available. Prior to becoming a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist I worked as a Registered Nurse in a cardiothoracic intensive care unit. I attended the University of Southern California, Keck School of Medicine for my graduate studies in Anesthesiology. I live in Northeast Portland and enjoy the diversity of the neighborhood.

About my practice

I believe the team approach is the best way to provide the safest and best quality care to patients. I strive to make my patients feel as comfortable as possible when having to undergo a surgical procedure. I believe it is important to provide in detail the process of the anesthetic and what the patient can expect. Surgery is a stressful situation for everyone regardless of how minor, having as much information about the process as possible helps to relieve some of the anxiety associated with surgery and anesthesia.

How I thrive

I spend my time outside of work enjoy many different activities. I enjoy running, hiking, kayaking, bouldering and skiing. My dog, Lulu, helps relieve my stress after a long day. She often accompanies me on runs or hikes and is always excited to see me. We plan to work on learning to stand up paddle board this summer.
