About Me

A native of Cuba, my family and I moved to the U.S in 2002. From a very young age, I have possessed a strong passion to work in the field of obstetrics. I knew I had to help women bring life into this world in the safest way possible, and I have always felt very fortunate to love the profession I have chosen.

About my practice

I completed my bachelor's degree in nursing at the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga. I worked for nearly four years at Chattanooga's biggest trauma hospital, Erlanger. I then decided to pursue my dream of higher education and received my master's degree in midwifery and family practice from Emory University. I feel very fortunate to be part of our great Kaiser Permanente Ob/Gyn Department.

How I thrive

I love to run, cook and look at the ocean early in the morning. Running clears my mind and releases me from my daily thoughts. Cooking exercises my mind in a different way and keeps me eating healthy in order to properly nourish my body. Looking at the ocean during the early hours of the day gives me an internal peace like nothing else. This is how I thrive. I also love watching movies, dancing and hanging out with my family, including our two dogs, Max and Cooper.
