About Me

I am originally from Ethiopia, where I completed my medical school training. I moved to New York to complete my residency in internal medicine and lived in New York City for about 6 years before moving to Portland to explore the Pacific Northwest.

About my practice

I enjoy the variety of patients and families and the diverse clinical encounters inherent in acute care hospital medicine. I treat each patient as a whole person, taking into consideration their physical, emotional, spiritual, and intellectual selves. An important part of my work is listening to my patients in order to make a shared clinical decision that can give them the best chance of achieving their goals.

How I thrive

When not working, I like to spend time with my family, going for walks, swimming, cooking, and hiking.
