About Me

I am originally from California and moved to the Vancouver/Portland area in 1989 when I came to work at Kaiser Permanente Northwest. I previously worked for Kaiser Permanente of the Mid-Atlantic Region as a child psychologist. I studied Clinical Psychology because I have always been fascinated by human behavior, thoughts and emotions.

About my practice

I believe that collaborating with patients and increasing their understanding of their behavior, motives, and feelings is the key to improving mental health. When I started at Kaiser Permanente, I specialized in psychotherapy with children, teens, and families. Now I work with patients of all ages and do psychological testing as well as therapy. I have been a member of the American Psychological Association since 1987 and am also a member of American Association of University Women.

How I thrive

I thrive by maintaining contacts with family and friends, outdoor activities including cross-country skiing and hiking, walking, travel, pets, volunteer work and reading. I am a single adoptive parent and my beautiful daughter and I have been a family since she was 8 year old. I am very proud of her and grateful for the opportunity to be her mother.
