About Me
I was born and raised in south Louisiana. And yes, I love the food there! Crawfish and boudin are some of my favorites. After college, I moved back to Louisiana for medical school, and since then, I have lived in Atlanta. I have a daughter and a son, and I absolutely love raising them in Atlanta. Being a mother has changed my life in the most wonderful ways.
I am a board-certified medical oncologist specializing in hematology and oncology. I worked in a private practice oncology group for five years before starting with Kaiser Permanente in 2012. I feel incredibly fortunate to be part of the Kaiser Permanente family and to work alongside such a dedicated team.
About my practice
I treat all types of cancers and benign hematologic conditions. My cancer subspecialty focus includes gastrointestinal cancers, breast cancer, head and neck cancers, genitourinary cancers, cutaneous malignancies, lung cancer and thymoma, thyroid and endocrine cancers, as well as complex and malignant hematologic disorders.
One of my core goals in practice is to see every member as a unique individual with distinct emotional and physical needs. I strive to ensure that each patient feels supportednot only by me but by a collaborative team that includes their loved ones. Together, we work to create the best possible treatment plan tailored to their specific situation.
I work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure every patient receives personalized, coordinated care. Collaborating with experts across various specialties allows us to design the most effective treatment plans, especially for complex cancer cases, and ensures the highest standards of care.
I am a proud member of both the American Society of Hematology (ASH) and the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). Through these partnerships, I contribute to advancing cancer therapies and improving outcomes for our members.
How I thrive
Caring for cancer patients each day reminds me to live fully and gratefully. I love, love being a mother! I am happiest spending the majority of my free time with my kids. I also make time for myself by doing cardiovascular exercise at least five mornings a week for an hour. Running is my favorite. Another hobby of mine is enjoying Atlanta's great restaurants, along with traveling to Louisiana to visit with family when possible.
