About Me

Hello, I am Dr. Bangalan, a podiatrist with Kaiser Permanente. As a foot doctor, I treat various conditions of the lower extremities ranging from ingrown toenails to diabetic ulcers. My priority is your comfort and well-being. I look forward to helping you get back on your feet as soon as possible.

As the child of a career Navy man, I was fortunate to live in many cities across the United States. Southern California, however, is the place I call home. Before I became a podiatrist, I was a high school science teacher. I loved biology and interacting with people every day, so I decided to take the plunge and go into medicine. I received my medical training from the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco and went on to serve my residency at St. Mary’s Hospital in Hoboken, New Jersey. During my time on the East Coast, I became enamored with “the boys from the Bronx”—the Yankees. I’ve been a fan ever since.

About my practice

In 2002, I joined Kaiser Permanente. I enjoy the interaction between colleagues here and have formed many lasting friendships among the staff. It is a wonderful place to work. I always try to find a common bond with my members. I want to get to know them and their needs. Showing that you care can go a long way towards building trust and communication, which are critical to effective treatment of any disorder.

How I thrive

Married to a Yankees fan with two young boys, our lives revolve around baseball from early spring to late fall. When my first son was born, he came home from the hospital in Yankee pinstripes! Personally, I stay fit by going to the gym regularly. I satisfy my creative streak by designing photo books to preserve family memories and love spending time with my husband and boys on weekend adventures throughout Southern California.
