About Me
I was born and raised in Hawaii, where I live with my lovely wife and our four children. Hawaii is truly home to me and I feel lucky to practice medicine locally as a physician with the Hawaii Permanente Medical Group for 25 years.
About my practice
My mother, who was a nurse, introduced me to the world of health care. She inspired me early on to explore the medical field and become a doctor. During one summer vacation, I worked with an internist and his amazing work cemented my decision to specialize in internal medicine. Working within the Hawaii Permanente Medical Group is incredible because my colleagues and I are fully aligned in providing our members with coordinated, high quality care. Our patients are our highest priority and I personally care for them like they’re a part of my own family. Patient interactions are important to determine the best approach for treatment, but they are also quite fun. I like hearing about my patients’ families and their life experiences like the places they have traveled to.
How I thrive
When I am not playing with my children, you can find me either hiking on a luscious mountain trail or casting my reel at a local fishing spot.
