Hello, and welcome to my Web page. I am Dr. Mario Saucedo. I am a primary care physician and I specialize in family medicine, which means I care for members of all ages. I have been with Kaiser Permanente for one year and I am currently accepting new patients.
I grew up in Los Angeles and lived most of my life in the West San Fernando Valley area. I have been living in western Ventura County for almost six years. I have three small children. I am the youngest of five children, and three of us are in the health field. My older brothers are also doctors and were an important inspiration in my life. I knew from a very young age that I wanted to help people and given my interest in science I decided medicine was the career for me. I went to the University of California at Santa Barbara for my undergraduate studies. I attended medical school at the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara and New York Medical College. I did one year of general surgery residency at Lincoln Hospital/Our Lady of Mercy Medical Center in Bronx, New York, and then completed my family medicine residency at Texas Tech University. I have also worked a number of years as an emergency medicine physician in New Mexico and California.
Being a family medicine physician makes my practice very diverse. I am always stimulated intellectually, given the fact that I treat an assortment of illnesses. My office staff works with me as a team to give our patients prompt efficient service and the best care possible.
I enjoy running, weight lifting, hiking, horseback riding, and kayaking regularly to keep healthy.
