About Me

Welcome to my Web page. Thank you for the opportunity to introduce myself, and share a bit about my practice.

Biography

Born and raised in Southern California, I have spent nearly my entire life in Orange County. Both of my parents attended Huntington Beach High School, and my sister and I grew up enjoying all Orange County has to offer. My fascination with the human body, the miracle of life, and general health and wellness dates from a very young age. The first in my family to graduate from college, I earned a degree in exercise science, and then attended medical school at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. I did my residency and fellowship training in maternal fetal medicine at UC Irvine, and practiced for nearly a decade at Long Beach Memorial Miller Children's and Women's Hospital and Hoag Hospital prior to joining Kaiser Orange County.

About my practice

As a board-certified maternal fetal medicine specialist and obstetrician and gynecologist, patients are referred to our team if they have a possible complication in pregnancy or a history of complicated pregnancy. It is my role during pregnancy to assist with any medical complication with mother or baby. Before pregnancy, I see patients with possible risk factors to counsel them about how we will manage the pregnancy together, and assist throughout pregnancy when specialized care is needed. More than anything else, it is my role to listen well and share available information to help guide mothers and their families with compassion and thoughtfulness. I feel incredibly privileged to do the work that I get to do on a daily basis. It is my goal with every patient to honor that privilege by listening well, communicating clearly, and providing excellent medical care.

How I thrive

Outside of work, I cherish time spent with my husband, family, and Labrador retriever. Exercise for pleasure has been an integral part of my life for as long as I can remember, and the sport that brings me the most joy is snow skiing. As the daughter of a postman, receiving mail always makes me happy, but especially when it includes cards from new parents with pictures of their babies or yearly updates of their growing children.
