About Me
I am a native of Colorado. I love the sunsets and beauty of this state. I have a 2-year-old black lab who brings much joy to my life. I am proud to be the first person in my family to obtain a master’s degree. I am also proud that I have been working in this field since 1982 and I still love working with people every day. The most rewarding part of this work is watching people change and learn how to deal with life challenges in new ways.
About my practice
The chemical dependency treatment services at Kaiser Permanente provide high-quality, affordable care to members seeking treatment for substance use. We also provide services to family members who may be affected by a loved one’s substance use. We have a defined range of care which uses the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) criteria to inform and direct appropriate care. Group therapy is a principal component of chemical dependency care. Patient treatment goals are designed to meet individual needs while considering the individual’s readiness and motivation to change.
How I thrive
I have many things that keep me busy and thriving! I enjoy riding my motorcycle, playing golf, and watching movies. I am an avid Colorado Rockies fan and enjoy watching Bronco football. I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, traveling, and scuba diving. I love to read self-help and fantasy books.
