About Me

I was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. I credit my parents with instilling in me the value of education and providing me the opportunity to attend college on the Mainland, with the hope that I would one day return to serve the community in which I grew up.

About my practice

My interest in optometry dates back to the eighth grade, when I experienced my first eye examination and learned that I needed to wear glasses. I was amazed at how a few clicks on an instrument dial could make such a profound difference in my sight. The Hawaii Permanente Medical Group gives me the opportunity to work with an excellent group of colleagues and specialists who share the same philosophy of treating all our patients with compassion. When it comes to caring for my patients, I make every attempt to be respectful as well as a good listener. I am a member of the American Optometric Association and the Hawaii Optometric Association.

How I thrive

When time permits, I enjoy golfing, fishing, and going to the gym. I also volunteer at Hawaii Meals on Wheels delivering hot meals to those in need. However, time spent with my wife and three daughters is what I find most rewarding.
