About Me
I was born and raised in Ohio and attended Ohio State University and University of Dayton. I lived in Ann Arbor, Michigan prior to moving to the Pacific Northwest in 2006. I have a background in art and psychology. I have always been relationally driven and find interacting with people more stimulating than facts and figures.
About my practice
I began my career as a Registered Art Therapist (ATR) working in many settings, including private and state psychiatric institutions. My experience includes substance abuse, workers' compensation, eating disorders, day treatment and acute psychiatric care. I work currently at Brookside Residential Mental Health and occasionally at Cascade Park Intensive Outpatient Program. My experience with Kaiser Permanente has been most fulfilling due to practicing Trauma Informed Care, a philosophy that aligns perfectly with my values and beliefs about helping others. Mental health recovery is about compassion, accountability, acceptance and quality of connection.
How I thrive
I enjoy exercise, cooking, eating out and spending quality time with friends and family - it's all a balancing act.
