About Me
Hello, and welcome to my Web page. I am happy to have this opportunity to introduce myself.
Biography
I was born and raised in Iran, though I completed high school in Germany before immigrating to the U.S. I am a graduate of UC Irvine, where I received my bachelor's degree in biological Sciences, doctorate in pharmacology and toxicology, and medical degree. I completed my training in internal medicine at UC Irvine Medical Center, and my fellowship in nephrology and hypertension at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. I'm currently board certified in internal medicine and nephrology. I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2001 as a staff physician and became a partner in 2004. I am fluent in Farsi and English, and speak conversational German and Spanish.
About my practice
I'm interested in all aspects of kidney care, including chronic kidney disease, dialysis, and renal transplant. The nephrology team at Kaiser Permanente is a cohesive group of heath care providers who pride themselves on providing members with high-quality care.
How I thrive
Running, swimming, and hiking are my favorite sports, while playing music and spending time with my family are what keep me balanced. I enjoy traveling and learning about history and other cultures.
