About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I’m happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice.

Biography

I am a head and neck surgeon and have practiced for more than 25 years at West Los Angeles Medical Center. In 2007, I transitioned into my administrative role as the chief of the department. When I was in the third grade, I “assisted” my father, a surgeon, in sewing up a deep laceration in one of our pets. From that day forward, I knew that I would become a surgeon myself. I moved from Chicago to Los Angeles in 1981 to attend the University of California, Los Angeles, for my residency. My husband and I looked back at that cold weather only briefly before we decided to stay in Los Angeles. I have four children, all taller than me, who keep me on my toes!

About my practice

I have a medical and surgical specialty practice concerned with the diagnosis, management, and treatment of diseases and disorders of the ear, nose, and throat (ENT) and related structures of the head and neck, including the sinuses, larynx (voice box), oral cavity, and upper pharynx (mouth and throat). I am specially trained in treating adult patients with tumors of the head and neck as well as with salivary gland and thyroid masses. I also enjoy treating children with their assortment of ear, nose, and throat concerns.

How I thrive

Outside of work, my family life is my major priority, and with four kids and a dog, it has been pretty hectic. Although most of my kids are now in college and beyond, I still have a high school soccer and volleyball player at home, which keeps me traveling to her tournament destinations. In my spare time, I like to relax with my kids and family, and I also like to garden, do arts and crafts, and travel.
