About Me
My interest in family relationships started in high school, which led me to study psychology and later complete a graduate degree in marriage and family therapy. I am energized by working with members who are both curious and courageous as they look to better understand their emotional and relationship history.
About my practice
The professional model I use is called the Bowen family systems theory, which highlights the impact and influence of one's early years and family experience on adult life. I began my professional career working with teens and families, and I now work with adults who have been negatively impacted by another's chemical abuse or other compulsive behavior. The Addiction Medicine Department provides a valuable service to members by providing this specialty, which is known as codependency therapy.
How I thrive
I moved from Indiana to the Pacific Northwest after completing my graduate degree and have called it home ever since. My interests include cycling, hiking, running (when my knees allow it), and reading about science, neuroscience, and health. Humor is important to me, as are friends and family.
