About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I'm delighted to introduce myself and tell you about my practice. My team and I at Kaiser Permanente are here to help members and their families live healthier lifestyles. I look forward to meeting you and working with you to achieve this goal.

Biography

Although I was born in the Philippines, I am Korean and lived in Korea until I graduated from college. Since early childhood I have dreamed of becoming a physician. Using science to heal patients and help them to change their lives for the better has always been my goal. To achieve this dream I moved to the U.S., worked and attended medical school in New York, and finally moved to California to complete my residency training and start a family. I did my Ob/Gyn training in Los Angeles. While working in private practice, I worked side by side with many Kaiser Permanente physicians, and was impressed with their compassionate, patient-centered, team approach to healthcare.

About my practice

I was delighted to join the Kaiser Permanente family in 2013. I believe in taking care of the total patient. This often extends beyond simply solving the immediate health problem that a patient comes to me with. Working with patients, their families, and the Kaiser Permanente team to help patients change their lifestyle for the long-term is very important to me. I enjoy all aspects of the Ob/Gyn practice. As a physician, I believe that my education is a lifelong process and I am constantly studying and training in new treatment methods. I have always had a special interest in learning new, cutting edge, minimally invasive surgical techniques. I am blessed to be married to an out of this world husband. We have two incredible, high-energy children and I try to support their school, sports and music activities.

How I thrive

I thrive by living the healthy, balanced lifestyle that I encourage my patients to live. I do this by cooking farm-to table meals, doing high-intensity cardio-Pilates and spinning class (sometimes before work). I also play golf, piano, and enjoy attending classical music concerts. My family and I are active at church, where my long-term goals are to do medical missions. We are also thankful of the sacrifices of our military and support several veterans' foundations.
