About Me

I am a New Yorker, born and raised. Though I am comfortable with big buildings and bustling crowds of people, I have been fortunate to work and study in other parts of the U.S. and New Zealand, and I appreciate all that these places have to offer. Being from New York has given me the opportunity to work, study and live with different people from all over the world, which I find helpful in my daily practice.I was drawn to medicine because of my natural curiosity about how things work, interest in science and my desire to be helpful to others. I was inspired to go into pediatrics by my own pediatrician, who was a very caring, gentle, giant of a man. His personal story of wanting to obtain the best pediatric training available had a lasting impact on me. I am grateful for his example because I enjoy what I do.

About my practice

My approach to patient care involves listening to the parent and patient. The parent is with the patient more often and will have insights that will be helpful during our visit. I use a gentle approach and good humor in order for me to obtain a quality exam. I also insist that parents are active caretakers by following through on recommendations, maintaining communication and discovering new information that can be brought to my attention.

How I thrive

I stay busy through the activities of my two children and my wife. Be it soccer, saxophone, violin, school plays, book clubs, singing or basketball, there is always something going on in our household!Personally, I enjoy the beauty and challenges involved in gardening and fishing.
