About Me

Hello! Welcome to my Web page. I am delighted to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my work as a physician surgeon at Kaiser Permanente in Orange County. I am an orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine. I feel fortunate to be able to work as a physician at Kaiser Permanente. Being in an integrated health care system truly allows me to give my patients optimal care.

Biography

I was born in Dortmund, Germany. At age nine, I moved with my family to Orange County. I graduated from Tustin High School and completed my college undergraduate training at UCLA. My medical training was at UC Irvine School of Medicine. Orthopedic surgery was the obvious choice for me because I find restoring form and function very satisfying. I completed my orthopedic surgery residency training at the UC Irvine Medical Center. I chose to gain additional fellowship training in sports medicine and arthroscopy. I am a medical volunteer at the annual Disneyland® Half Marathon presented by Kaiser Permanente.

About my practice

I believe a strong physician/patient relationship is crucial. Some of the common surgeries I perform include knee ligament reconstructions (e.g. ACL surgery), cartilage surgery, knee arthroscopy, and arthroscopic shoulder rotator cuff repair and stabilization. Clear communication regarding the available medical options and the overall game plan are key portions of a visit. Our orthopedic sports medicine support staff is excellent. My medical assistant and orthopedic technician is a vital component of our sports medicine team. Our goal is to restore your function and allow you to return to activities you enjoy. We look forward to participating in your health care.

How I thrive

Spending time with my family, surfing and mountain biking are the cornerstones that keep me balanced.
