Acerca de mí
I was born and raised in India. After my undergraduate education, I completed my medical school training in Bangalore, India. I relocated to New York after getting married and pursued my residency training in internal medicine at Winthrop University Hospital in New York. I moved down south to New Orleans to do my training in gastroenterology and liver transplant at Ochsner Medical Center. Being close to family was important to us, and we made the decision to move to Atlanta. My husband and I are blessed with two beautiful daughters who keep us smiling every day.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
I am proud to be a part of the Gastroenterology Department at Kaiser Permanente. We are a diverse group of physicians with great compassion and camaraderie, sharing a common goal centered on excellence in comprehensive patient care. I believe in educating our members about their body and health. I like to give our members options and choices to help make the right decisions to take care of their medical conditions. Often, a number of GI associated illnesses need a great partnership between the patient and the doctor, and I try my best to offer that partnership. I also have a particular interest in disorders related to liver. I love practicing gastroenterology and hepatology, and with the help of a great team at Kaiser Permanente, taking care of our members does not seem like work, but a fulfilling experience.

I enjoy music and dance. I learned Indian classical dance briefly as a child, and after coming to Atlanta, I had the opportunity to pursue that passion. My daughters and I learn Bharatnatyam from the same dance teacher, and I find it to be good exercise and an excellent way to be able to spend time together. Lately, Zumba has also become a fun way of exercising and fulfilling my passion for dance. While I am not at work, I love spending time with friends and family. I also enjoy cooking healthy food.
