Acerca de mí
I grew up in Indiana and, like many Indiana natives, I always thought I would eventually end up with a career related to basketball. I did not really consider a career in medicine an option until a few personal experiences prompted me to rethink my long-term goals. I decided to pursue a career in medicine late in my undergraduate career, but was fortunate to be provided the opportunity to be educated in medicine.I specifically chose the field of cardiology as a result of my prior personal experiences, and I have been blessed with the opportunities to pursue this career. I have had the opportunity to participate in medicine and cardiology at multiple levels including basic and clinical science research in academics, subsequently moving to private practice in Indiana, and more recently the opportunity to join Kaiser Permanente in October 2011.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
Unfortunately, cardiovascular diseases significantly affect a large portion of our population and can potentially result in life-altering conditions. As a result, I am concerned how the cardiovascular system may be influencing our members' overall well-being.During your visit with me, you are the most important person of my day. I hope to be able to partner with our members to provide the best cardiovascular care I can give. Practicing medicine within Kaiser Permanente gives us the ability to have state-of-the-art diagnostic tools to use and a full staff of highly educated and experienced cardiologists to collaborate with in order to provide the most appropriate care for each individual. Our cardiology staff includes experts in cardiac MRI, cardiac CT, echocardiography, interventional cardiology, peripheral vascular disease as well as electrophysiology.

Life for me is about balance and recognizing blessings. I have been blessed with the opportunity to practice cardiology as a profession and meet many wonderful people who enrich my life. From the many mentors I have had to the most recent member who chooses to be a patient, I try to learn something from everyone and every situation. I have been blessed to have a loving and devoted wife, with whom I spend the majority of my non-working time. We try to pursue a balanced life mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. Life is short and we must savor each minute and embrace every success and challenge wholeheartedly. My family is very important, and Kaiser Permanente and the people who trust us with their care are basically extended family.
