I am so happy to be back in my hometown of Atlanta! I feel blessed to be around family and continue working for Kaiser Permanente. I am excited to be a part of the Decatur community with its wealth of unique shopping and dining experiences. I am also looking forward to the organic farmers' market.
I have wanted to be a physician since I was in elementary school. My mom worked for Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, so my experience there helped shape my desire to pursue medicine. I have moved all around the country for my training, but most recently lived in Maui, where I also worked for Kaiser Permanente.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
I am a family medicine physician. I chose to work in family medicine as I had a deep desire to understand the scope of medicine from birth to taking care of elders and everything in between. Medicine is a wonderfully unique profession where I am able to connect with people in very significant times of their lives. I believe my compassion and caring for each of my patients has helped them get through those times.
I practice holistic medicine because I believe that we must consider every aspect of the person to come up with a comprehensive diagnosis and treatment. I blend traditional and nutritional medicine when helping members create a treatment plan that works for them. I am specifically interested in women's health, diabetes, weight management, musculoskeletal problems and holistic medicine.
Cómo vivo bien
Bringing balance into my life is very important. I give my practice my full attention while I am there, but I also do the same with my family when I am at home.
I try to be an example to our members by working to live as healthy as possible. I exercise several times a week, including weight resistance training and yoga. I love spending quality time with my family. I try to eat organic foods and drink filtered water. I also make sure I get enough rest so I can have energy to do all the things I love to do in this wonderful life.
