Acerca de mí
This is an exciting time to be a neurologist! There have been many great advances within neurology in last few years. Promising new research in the fields of epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, dementia and Parkinson's disease will continue to deliver better treatment options in the years to come. I was born and raised in Chennai, India, and I graduated from Stanley Medical College. I moved to the United Kingdom to complete training in internal medicine before I moved to U.S. for further training in neurology. My work experiences in the U.K.'s National Health Service and my work in the U.S. give me an excellent understanding of different health care models and how to practice medicine using those models efficiently.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
I am board certified in neurology and have completed a fellowship in electroencephalography (EEG)/epilepsy. With a strong background in internal medicine, I believe in the holistic approach to our members' complaints. I especially like William Osler's quote on this, "The good physician treats the disease; the great physician treats the patient who has a disease." I practice general neurology, which comprises of stroke, dementia, Parkinson's, neuro-immunology, multiple sclerosis disorders, myopathy, neuropathy and other neurodegenerative diseases. My special interest is in epilepsy, EEG and evoked potentials. I am also interested in environmental chemicals and its role in neurological disorders.
