Acerca de mí
I originally grew up in South Florida, but have been amongst colder weather and changing seasons since the year 2000. I took advantage of the opportunity to live in new cities throughout my medical training. First, I experienced the historical streets of Boston, then headed to our nation's capitol in Washington, D.C., and finally ended up in the "city that never sleeps," New York City, for my fellowship. Though I miss waking up to seeing Fenway Park outside of my apartment window, winding my way through the National Mall on my commute home and experiencing the hustle and bustle of Manhattan, I have happily settled in Georgia with my husband. I am the first medical physician in my family and am eternally grateful for the support my parents provided me throughout my journey.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
I specialize in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Kaiser Permanente. As a pulmonologist, I see patients in the office and hospital for various conditions and ailments of the lungs, from asthma to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) to lung cancer and more. We often order tests to assess lung function, called pulmonary function tests, and perform diagnostic procedures, such as thoracentesis and bronchoscopy, to sample fluid collections around the lung and evaluate abnormalities in the airways and lung tissue themselves. As a critical care physician, I manage patients that require hospitalization in the intensive care unit (ICU). When a loved one is in the ICU, it is a stressful experience for everyone involved. I deeply value my role to both treat the patient and provide support for their family during those taxing times.

One of the greatest benefits of my home in Georgia is my proximity to the Silver Comet Trail. I have an extremely spirited Jack Russell Terrier mix. She always needs to get in her exercise, lest she release her energy on one of my pairs of shoes! We have made it our daily routine to head down the trail and take advantage of the beautiful nature along the path. I am also thoroughly enjoying the amazing quality of produce available locally. Georgia's fruits and vegetables are spoiling me! My husband and I try to cook as much as possible and incorporate all these fresh foods as often as we can.
