Acerca de mí
I was born in New York City, and I was raised in metropolitan Atlanta. During my college years, I initially thought that I wanted to be a pharmacist. However, during my junior year of college, I decided to pursue a career in medicine. I chose pediatrics as my specialty during the last month of my third year in medical school. When I completed my clinical rotation in pediatrics as a medical student, I felt that I had finally discovered a medical discipline that brought me joy, peace, satisfaction and a great way to impact the lives of our most precious resource - our children. I am grateful for the endless hours of encouragement that my mother, along with other family members, friends, professors and church members, provided me.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
I practice general pediatrics with a philosophy of pressing toward the mark of providing professional, compassionate, patient-centered care that I would want for my own children. I especially enjoy taking care of newborns, toddlers and elementary school children. In addition, I enjoy the specialty of pediatric infectious disease, including the study of immunizations. I feel it is incumbent upon a medical community to dispel myths concerning childhood vaccines. Lastly, I feel it is beneficial to impact medical knowledge in a relaxed environment when possible. I also appreciate patients who are kind enough to laugh at my corny jokes!
Cómo vivo bien
I am very fortunate to have a wonderful family consisting of my wife and our two sons. I enjoy attending my kids' various events. Personally, I enjoy watching sports and various shows on the HGTV network, and I like playing Wii sports. One of the most important ways that I thrive is through my spirituality and praying on a consistent basis.
