Acerca de mí
I am a native of Atlanta, born to a father who was a high school principal and a mother who was an elementary school teacher. I am also the youngest of three children. My parents' careers placed a spotlight on the importance of education, which propelled me to have a desire for school and continued learning. As a result, I went on to attend the University of Georgia and then the Medical College of Georgia, where I obtained my medical degree. Being raised and attending school in the South left a desire to explore new experiences, cultures, and regions. Subsequently, I moved and completed the rest of my medical training in one of my favorite cities in the world, New York City.
Acerca de mi práctica médica
As a palliative care physician, I have the unique experience of working closely with a team of nurses, physicians, social workers, and chaplains. The team is able to help with our patients' physical, mental, spiritual, and even financial needs. When patients feel burdened with the symptoms related to their chronic disease, we serve as a network of support for them.
Cómo vivo bien
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my parents and brothers. I also enjoy traveling, trying delicious and new restaurants, catching up with friends, and binge-watching TV. I do strength training, Zumba, and boxing to work off the good food and couch surfing! My plan is to become more involved in my community, particularly through mentorship, as I wish to impact the community that has shaped me into the person I am today.
