Acerca de mí
I was born in Vietnam, but my family moved to the United States when I was 5 years old. I have lived in Georgia ever since. I grew up in Conyers, Ga, and I consider myself a native Georgian. I went to Georgia Tech (Go Jackets!) for my undergraduate studies in biological sciences. I then obtained my master's degree in medical sciences from Emory University and became a certified physician assistant (PA) thereafter. I enjoy living in Atlanta and love the city for its diversity, people, and wonderful food scene!
Acerca de mi práctica médica
I chose to work in gastroenterology because of the diverse organ systems it encompasses. I simply enjoy reading and learning about it more than I enjoyed other medical topics. Gastroenterology also offers a mix of hospital and clinic care, which is nice to have. My goals for improving patient care are to maintain thorough and effective communication between physicians, associate providers, members and their families to treat the member as a whole rather than as a diagnosis to ultimately improve outcomes. I am excited to be a part of Kaiser Permanente because our model emphasizes patient-centered care.
Cómo vivo bien
Being healthy, physically and mentally, is important to me. Exercising helps me achieve both. If time permits and the weather is nice, I enjoy going on hikes or running outdoors. Unfortunately, life tends to get busy, so going to the gym has been my best route of exercise. I try to exercise three days a week. I am a huge movie buff but prefer to watch at home rather than going to the movie theaters. I especially enjoy crime movies or thrillers. I love cooking and trying new food cuisines and restaurants; Atlanta has a great food scene!
