Acerca de mí
I was born and raised in Northern California. After finishing my undergraduate degree in social work, I worked with AmeriCorps Volunteers in Service to America (VISTA) in Anchorage, Alaska. I never knew until I lived in Alaska that there were people out there that loved snow! In 2011, I moved to Atlanta from North Carolina to work for Kaiser Permanente. I enjoy continuing my more than 30-year career as a clinical social worker with Kaiser Permanente and having the opportunity to work with the wonderful people of Atlanta. Life does not get any better than this!
Acerca de mi práctica médica
I believe that you are never too old to grow and learn new things about yourself. I have always considered it a privilege to be able to help people on their journey through life. I have worked with many life issues during my years in practice including adoption and foster care, grief issues, domestic violence, child abuse and neglect, depression, anxiety, persons who are HIV positive and gay and lesbian issues.
Cómo vivo bien
The foundation of my life is my spiritual practice. I meditate every day, which brings me joy. I am a vegetarian and like to cook and try new recipes, especially on my friends. I enjoy walking, hiking, watching movies, being outdoors, listening to National Public Radio (NPR) and reading a good book. I love to laugh and try to find the humor in everything I do. I come home to my dog, Zoe, and my two cats, George and Kiran. I have always been blessed by good family and friends. My favorite saying is, "Eighty percent of success is just showing up." I have found this to be true!
